Fallen Tree Causes Route 9W Closure

A busy stretch of Route 9W has reopened in both directions after a fallen tree caused its closure for hours.

The incident, reported at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, occurred at Iona Island Road in Stony Point.

The roadway reopened around 1 p.m.
